Just look at that face...
All too often these adorable scrap animals (known as Bestia Purgamentum or Scrapapmals) are abandoned and left to fend for themselves in back alleyways and neighborhoods across the country. Surviving on discarded glitter and packing peanuts they are longing for a loving home to keep them safe and in one piece.

We here at the Scrap Exchange have decided to help. We have started a rescue shelter and adoption center devoted entirely to these little guys and gals. We reattach appendages, smooth out stickers and locate lost eyes. They are fed, given room to run around and each gets a trophy stand to call their own. But, we can't do it without you.
Here's how you can help...
Stop by the Scrap Exchange's retail location at 548 Foster st., Durham, North Carolina and meet our current corral of creative creatures, they live on the wall right up at the front desk. Fall in love with a special friend today!
The Scrapamals pictured here have come to us from creative reuse events as well as from the wild right here in Durham. Some have known builders while others are of unknown origins...
All "adoption fees" are donations to the Scrap Exchange to help us further our mission of promoting creativity, environmental awareness, and community through reuse. We ask for a basic donation of $25 for a lovable Scrapamal with individualized adoption papers, and any amount beyond that would be wonderful. Look here on the blog for updates and additions the Scrapamal corral. The little scrappers pictured here are all up for adoption...
