Green Gallery Exhibit: "A Durty Room"
Art installation by the DURTY Durham Art Collective
March 18 - April 9
Opening Reception: March 18 from 6-9 pm
Come and play in our room! For this exhibit, the DURTY Durham Art Collective will build a one-of-a-kind creative reuse installation. The Green Gallery will be transformed into a living space that will encourage participation and play. A team of artists will be designing furniture and art made completely out of Scrap Exchange materials.

“A Durty Room” opens with a free reception Friday, March 18, from 6 to 9 p.m., during Third Friday festivities in Durham. This exhibit runs through Saturday, April 9. The Green Gallery is located in the rear of The Scrap Exchange at 548 Foster Street. The exhibit is open during store hours: Mon., Tues., Wed. and Fri., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thurs. 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun. noon-5 p.m. For information, call 688-6960 or go to www.scrapexchange.org.
Special Note: During the opening of this exhibit, the Make and Take Room will be available for free art making to prepare for the Marry Durham community wedding ceremony which will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19. Live music will be provided by the Bulltown Strutters.
